Resources for Future Generations (RFG2018), an international conference on energy, minerals, water and the earth, is expected to attract 4,000 scientists, policy-makers, industry representatives and members of civil society. Together, we will examine the availability of energy, minerals and water from the perspective of the earth – from the sources and origin of resources to their sustainable extraction and use.
A Call for Sessions under the technical and non-technical themes and sub-themes is now open. Proposals will be accepted until mid-May, 2017. Session ideas that depart from these themes, provided that they are relevant to the conference, will be considered. Proposals must include the following information:

RFG 2018 organizers include The International Union of Geosciences (IUGS), the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), the Geological Association of Canada (GAC), the Mineralogical Association of Canada (MAC), and the Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences (CFES). These organizations are supported by an extensive group of Canadian and international technical partners.
